This is my final draft:
First, I created a hand drawn 6 panel storyboard about the Mini Cooper.

Later on, I drew the storyboard in Photoshop and uploaded the layers to After Effects to animate and show the movement in a simple animatic. I later realised there wasn't enough frames to fill 30 seconds and the scenes didn't flow well so I added another 4 frames.
Upon inspection, I decided to add some more scenes for the final animation as well as change the ending to show more clarity throughout my work.

-setting (living room)
-boy
-bicep
-forearm
-wrist + car
Scene 2:
-setting (race scene)

'Mini Moments'

These extra scenes also helped express the story better and allowed for better timing.
I had difficulty in separating the layers properly to be able to animate them as it was monotonous. To draw, I mostly used the brush tool at a low opacity and low hardness to create the appropriate tones for my artwork.
However, this also meant that sometimes, the assets would be transparent in places they shouldn't have been for and you could see the background in the back.
I fixed it by adding a white layer under it.

Here I started animating the work:
I had one Master composition where all my panels were located. I had some trouble with some of the resolution sizes as I didn't draw the panels in the 1920x1080p res so I had to stretch some of the scenes to make it fit the whole frame.

I opted for an overall simple animation style (motion) to just showcase the general ideas. However, my art style was too ambitious as it took too long to render in the realistic style that I wanted.
Conclusion, I liked the overall animatic, however, to improve for next time, I will try a simpler art style and render the lines neater. I would also like to make the story a bit more coherent as the scenes currently don't show what I pictured in my head yet.
