We started an introduction at Maya where we learnt from the beginner tutorial how to combine and shape different polygons.

Next, we were tasked with freely manipulating cubes to create a table and a chair: here I used 11 cubes and created the chair with the table but I changed the size.

Here, I created a table with only one cube. First I put a cube into the scene and changed the translate and rotate.

Next, I used slice/cut tool to create cuts into the table at 20 per increment to find the position of the table legs.

Afterwards, I selected the four rectangle faces where the legs will be and used the extrude tool to pull down the shapes for the legs.

Lastly, I used another tool to round the inner edges under the table.

Final:

To create the chairs, essentially I did the same process as the table, however, I wanted to make a different design. To do this I created two rectangle increments on the back of the chair and then by selecting the [face] tool, I selected them and deleted it to make blank space.

Then I used the [bridge] tool and selected all the edges to join them together and complete the shape. I duplicated the chair another 3 times to make a dinner table scene.

To make the plates, I started with a cylinder then using the [extrude] tool, I flattened and shaped my plate and duplicated it 3 other times.

After this, I went to Adobe Stager and imported my table and chairs.

I added the picture of my school into the background.

I added some texture to my table and chair using the 'Material Assets'.

Then I coloured my plates.

Then I repositioned it.

Lastly, I rendered it and I was finished.
